I painted a series titled 'The Tree's of Brazil' a couple of years ago, as part of my 'Messages from the Soul' Exhibition at 'Chapel off Chapel Gallery' in Australia. Although they were some of my favorite paintings,I had not returned to Autumnal colors since. I felt the calling this month, perhaps as a change from all the bright colors of ' Through Thick and Thin' (still on show at 'Live Group' @ 3609 Grenville Ave-Dallas). There is something so relaxing about working with natural tones. Australian Grey, Burnt Umber, Sepia, Olive, Payne's Grey, Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna and a touch of Bronze, all coming out to play!
I am showing one of these paintings in 'The MAC Group show' (3120 McKinney Ave-Dallas). The theme this year is TRANS.... I have chosen to 'Translate Texas in the palette of the Australian Gum Tree'.
